INVESTIGATIONS
We believe Jane Doe. Read both investigations into Cornell’s handling of her report, the evidence trail and the University’s later disciplinary process.
She has already given her account to doctors, police, Cornell investigators and the courts. These investigations turn to the systems around what she reported, using court filings, Cornell records, policy documents and attributable reporting.
The first piece follows what Cornell knew and what prosecutors received. The follow-up examines Cornell’s May 2025 disciplinary proceeding, the findings now public and the respondent-specific decisions that remain outside public view.
The civil complaint is preserved on this site as a source document. Allegations in the pleading are identified as allegations throughout the reporting.
